Bundle pricing ready to expire.

I'm at the 10th month point with COMCAST bundling of HSI and cable TV ($33 + $33). Should I contact them or are they planning on letting me know of the pending expiration after 12 months.
I am happy with the HSI service but prefer Direct TV. Any suggestions on negotiating with them to keep the current rates and if necessary when?

You'd want to call and ask for the retention/downgrade department. The agent might be able to change your package now, and give you another 12 months at the double play, or have you call back when it expires.

Since you pay your bill one month ahead, you can just wait until you receive the bill that reflects the prices without the promotion and call in at that point.

Just be polite and respectful.

I've had them offer me new promo packages twice so far as an existing customer, once only half way thru my previous (the new one offered more channels for less $$$) and another time when my previous was about to expire. I'd be calling for problems with my service and while waiting for whatever the CS is doing he/she would offer me a new promo for another 12 month. I guess sometimes Comcast's unreliability helps

So it's not impossible to get another promotion after the first one expires. It seems they don't strictly adhere to the "for new customers only" rule.

Signing up for CDV might also help you get another 12 months of lower prices.
