| @ patcat88: Since I've been on satellite the whole time (started on C-band with a 9.5' dish, then moved to DirecTV), I don't. I'm about a half-mile from the end of the HFC network, and have been for a long time; my house isn't even wired for cable access.
@JSY & fiber2000: I never said that other providers didn't use satellite. I was making a point by saying cable still uses satellite for TV broadcast, which cable companies continue to leave out of their satellite/FiOS-slamming advertisements. |

1 edit | I only have an analog receiver to go with it, and new digital ones are something like 400 dollars (and then there'd be the cost of a dual-band LNB if I want more channels). DirecTV made more sense since it allows multiple rooms to watch different channels without moving the dish. |
