I'd agree with that.
I also think their hesitation to jump into the Clearwire potential is because it's now jointly run (to some degree) by their cable competitors. They likely believe, and rightly, that they'll be given some raw deal as a result.
BPL was likely more attractive as it was not influenced by their cable competition.
