1 edit | Another 419 scam variationI hadn't seem much spam emanating from ThePlanet for some time, but it appears this 419 (a gold bar miner" no less) came from or was relayed through one of their hosting servers. The phone number also looks like a new one, no hits in the usual lookups.

Dear,
Greetings.
Heartfelt warm love has enabled me writes this introductory letter with
purpose of reaching out to seek close friendship contact with you in love
and generosity.
I am professional gold bars, dust, silver, diamond and iron ore miner.
My hardworking and diligence has won me several jobs appointments in
several mineral resources mines sites across Africa and beyond.
I retired from my formal appointment due to severe health damage I
sustained when the gold mines where I worked collapsed after earthquake
attack in Stilfontein. I was a victim of the earthquake attack in
Stilfontein.
For more details story of BBC News on the earthquake attack on gold miners
in Stilfontein, Please check these two links on BBC world news:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4341343.stm
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4333307.stm
I am presently hospitalized in Benin, I have undergone a heart transplant
surgery last month and doctors say I will have another surgery operation
next week.
Before this accident in Stilfontein, I accumulated sum of US$14.5Million
from the sale of extracted gold dust and bars.
The US$14.5M fund was in cash and placed in a safe box and deposit in a
bonded warehouse vault facility for safe keeping under the details that
the fund is meant for my foreign buyers.
I had to state this to avoid high government tax and policy.
I need your help as thus; your task is to act as the foreign buyer to
claim the ownership and beneficiary of the fund.
By applying for a release and transportation of the container that
contains the fund from here to your location.
Once the container containing the fund has arrived in your country, then
your task is to take out 30% of out of the total fund therein the
container as your share and compensation for your efforts, while you are
to invest the remaining 70% on my behalf.
Let me inform you that this is 100% risk-free.
Once I received your reply, I will proceed to give you the contact details
of the bonded warehouse facility for you to contact them and ask for the
release of the container.
You can call me on telephone: +22997990282 or email me on

I sympathise somewhat by those taken, but at the same time I ask myself, "Reading this" aren't you seeing the crimes your commiting? Tax evasion being #1.
