00000 | dtsrvc,exe have constant disk activity which is really annoying to have to constantly hear. turns out the cause of it is an exe dtsrvc. haven't been able to find too much info about it except that it's something to do with Samsung's MagicTune software however not using a Samsung lcd monitor. According to one site, it states "If you are an admin user and want to stop this service, you can go the SCM (Service Control Manager) from Windows Control Panel and stop the service and make it "manual" startup so that it does not start the next time machine is booted up." however I can't find it in the list. How can I deactivate this without having to go to Task Manager each time the computer is booted?

is it running in task manager (ctrl alt del) and if yes can it be stopped? If you search for it on the drive where is it located?

- scanned, the file is clean
- yes, can disable in task manager but don't want to have to do so each time computer is turned on
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Portrait Displays\DTSRVC.EXE
it's an annoyance issue, having to hear the sound of constant disk activity even when not using the computer is really irritating since it's so noticeable |
