According to the Comcast web site my zip (06801) and address have 12/2 "available" but I am set on 6/1 currently.  My message to the Comcast Direct forum confirms that my CMTS is 6/1 but should be updated "soon" .... is there any way to tell when "soon" is????<br><small>--<br>Old dogs <b>can</b> learn new tricks!</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[jandar posted : Doesn't matter with the OS.<br><br>Win7 64bit, Win7 32bit, WinXP, MacOSX Snow Leopard, Ubuntu 10.04.<br><br>I even bypassed my gigabit switch (layer3 Allied Telesyn) and patched straight to the SMC8014.<br><br>I had powerboost at first, then it went away, even on two different modems going back to April of 2009.<br><br>I have an upgrade scheduled for 22/5 next week and am getting the newer POS SMC, so will see if there still is no powerboost.<br>Advertised speeds were there, just not powerboost.]]></description>

I checked some settings on my pc with cablenut the other day and found that they have been changed back to the default settings not the tweaked settings. I did the speed test again and got totally different results. <description><![CDATA[AVonGauss posted : The 16/2 tier is not dependent on DOCSIS 3 and for the majority of the country, it has been deployed for a while, just not in Palm Beach.  :(   However, the fact that your light turned from green to blue on the SB6120 indicates it indeed is DOCSIS 3 as blue indicates multiple channels bonded.  If you go to the status page for the modem, you should see at least two downstream channels.  As areas are upgraded to DOCSIS 3, the tiers are bumped from 6/1 and 8/2 to 12/2 and 16/2.]]></description>

I noticed the cable wwent out for a while...when I cam back the #2 LED on my SB6120 was Blue instead of green....<br><br>Speeds are way nice...hope they stay this nice....  Speedtest.net gives me a 60Mbps down and a 5.6 up result right now....<br><br>WWW.TestMy.net  25Mbps down test (it auto cycles to the 50 Mbps test also and gives me a final speed of some 18 Mbps....<br><br>Sweet !!! ]]></description>
