gta_master join:2008-05-30 Markham, ON	2wire question if i use the 2wire modem as a router can i use MLPPP with it or do i need a WRT54GL for it? i also have a SMC router, does that work with MLPPP?

The 2Wire 2700 in router mode does not support MLPPP. You will need to put it in bridge mode.

If you want to use the WRT54GL, you will need to put some non-Linksys firmware on it, such as OpenWRT or Tomato, etc. to get MLPPP working.

Your SMC router is unlikely to do MLPPP. Post the model.
