If you live in US & Canada, try globallens.ca. Because they're based in Canada, it takes up to 10 days to ship to US, but still they'll send them to you without presecprition and they certainly don't need your doctor's info! |

This thread is nuts, ANYONE that would get glasses or contacts sans an exam and script isn't seeing clearly(pun intended), your eyes change over time, they can get worse or better, age and/or some problem can make your sight MUCH worse. Lets see, I will buy something for a few hundred dollars that may or may not help me any ... Sorry, I will pay the $40-$70 every two years(covered by insurance if you have it) and KNOW I am getting exactly what I need and KNOW I don't have any underlying condition that may indeed make glasses or contacts useless if left untreated.
I don't mind wearing glasses, I think I look better with them and since I have to wear safety glasses at work anyway I will not be letting anyone cut on my eyes as long as glasses can correct my problem. |

Whenever I lose/brake a contact lens, I go to Costco and they give me a trial contact replacement. They just look up my file and see if I abuse of it.
Thats in Canada, dont know about the US |

For old fogeis like me, the prescription hasn't changed in years, so shelling out the cash every year for the doctor to tell me the same thing is a waste. I can understand going in once every 1-3 years for glaucoma and vision checks. But at my doctor you pay separately for the "exam" and the "contact lens fitting." And my insurance doesn't pay for the latter, and they certainly don't pay for the actual contacts. |

I agree with craig70130's post. Prescriptions can serve as a proof just in case something goes wrong with your eyes using an incorrect lens, you can use the prescription to track the website supplying those kind of lens. |

Has anyone ever had any problems with globallens.com? I ordered mine on the 16th of october and they still haven't arrived yet. It makes me a little nervous because the email address does not work and the phone number given is answered by the same man everytime. It is now the 28th. I have never used them, but even living in the US, they still should have been here already. |
