Alright I can completely understand the slow gradual increase in packet loss on their network over the course of the years that is shown in that graph. That makes perfect legit sense being broadband use has greatly increased in the last few years.

HOWEVER!!!!! I dont believe anything in last the 6 months to a year of that graph. If Bell's packet loss has more than doubled in the last year before they started traffic shaping then they dont have network congestion issue they have a major broken link issue somewhere.

I cant wait to see what the actual documentation they sent to the CRTC says.

All of that should've nosedived to zilch when they brought in some of the lowest monthly caps in the world. With caps like that their network should be able to run at full capacity for next 1000 years. However bell fails to mention anything about monthly caps being implemented.

That graph just show's they have increased packet loss..
They should show a comparison of what their current network capacity is, and how much more capacity they could have installed for the cost of the throttle boxes.
That would show that there was no need for them in the first place

X marks the spot and its WRONG
It really comes down to:
lets make all the cash we can, and not upgrade even though we know we have issue later. We can just traffic shape them like comcast is.....
How'd that go for comcast, oh they got hacked other day.

What is also interesting is that P2p data from a company that monitors it had data showign that in 2005 sept there were 5.4 million canucks using p2p simaltaneously, and 4 months later 9.8 million
(by that data and the above it should sit round the 2-3 mark but isn't)

that graph hardly shows that much of an increase, is it because the p2p is so efficient as a user gets and is done and then enjoys his take ???, if you ahve everyone doing 30K all night long....oh how is that on the electrical bill , the environment???
