| I need help with my ADSL speed, customer service not helpful
This is my last attempt, no ones been able to tell me any advice even remotely helpful. I may just have to cancel my DSL service but here it goes.. I really hope someone will help me!
I reformatted my computer and did a fresh install of WindowsXP. I bought a speedtstream 5360 modem at rummage sale, and at another sale found a DSL filter.
I started my at&t yahoo! DSL service three weeks ago.
During setup, had no problems. I managed to get online but was only downloading at 39kb/sec, uploading at about the same speed.
There has been no increase in speed! I've never downloaded faster than 39-40kb/sec!
Here are my official test test results.
Download = 317.72 kbps
Upload = 317.61 kbps
Here are the advertised speeds I'M suppose to get:
Downstream Speed: Up to 1.5 Mbps
Upstream Speed: Up to 384 Kbps
If anyone knows what might be wrong or websites that will help me... I will be most appreciative. I've wasted hours of time with customer service already, they are complete morons. |
