If you spend more than 2 hours a day in a Starbucks, then you need to find other things to do with your life.
Not everyone's work involves sitting behind a desk.

Eh, two hours a day is nothing. Some people leave their work (such as in my office) just to chill out in the chairs for 4-5 hours with refills on coffee and such, and it definitely beats out the library, well my campus library at least.

Everyone who has paid for T-Mobile Hotspot can still use them. I think it is good for casual use, but you would still have to pay if you want to use it more than 2 hours a day. I do sometimes, so I'm just sticking with my Hotspot membership as it costs the same to get a monthly subscription to AT&T. I live in a Verizon area so no one here has AT&T DSL to get free Wifi.

Maybe its just me but I don't find too many open wifi connections in midtown. At least not when I need it.

2 hours is probably to cover a lunch break or morning breakfast before everyone gets back to work. On the technical side, that is what interest me. I imagine that the cards are now tied into their radius server to keep track of when/how long they can use the wi-fi, etc.

I commend them on the technical feat, but in this day of everyone having open wireless AP everywhere, seems to be just a token gesture of time.
