| Overstock and Google are right about NY
The people buying stuff have to declare their taxes. 1922 law. None do but that's NY's problem not Amazon and Overstock's. To quote The Closer's Brenda Lee Johnson, "I declare!" And, why isn't NY going after drug dealers and the sales tax they are supposed to collect? The law doesn't distinguish between legal and illegal sales.
To prove the point, they two companies added, "Did Eliot Spitzer pay sales tax on those hookers? No. Did he pay sales tax on the lingerie and clothing he bought from them? No." /sarcasm
Florida, however, will try to collect taxes on dead people, and, in Miami, somehow they still manage to vote and even swung a Mayoral election. Guess the voting precinct located near a swath of cemeteries was just a bad idea. -- Saving the world keeps me busy. However, I find Earth very primitive from my home planet of Krypton. -Supergirl |
