Re: New Channel Realignment?

Post when you see they are completely "gone" ... I would think I'm on the same office feed .. but I don't want to Re-KaJigger my coax/box/cable wiring in order to see for myself ...
The analogs are now gone.

I a did a scan with my tuner card and all the channels perviously analog and the ones not used for analog or digital from Ch2 to 41 and 43-49 are now digital 256 QAM.
The new digital channels are showing no sub channels yet.
I'm also finding more channels from 50-135 have been turned on as 256 QAM.

The number of total scanned channels went from 452 to 487.

The analog channels were turned off here on the NJ system on Monday.
The letter said they would be turned off in June so they were right on schedule.

The programming has been replaced with a loop video saying that FIOS TV is now 100% digital and listing the options to view the digital channels.

They are subscription packs per season, correct. My last provider had it under PPV. You have to "pay" every year to "view" it. It is considered PPV rather than a monthly sports pack.
Ok, our understanding is the same, then. I've just never seen them listed under PPV before. I guess to me PPV is just that pay per view - watch the event while it's on, and that's it.

MLB EI & NHL CE are PPV packages. They do belong there.
Huh? They're sports subscription packs, which means they're like a premium channel. I've never heard of a provider charging you per view for one of those packages. Granted, they charge you per season... but not per view.

Also looks like they are showing MLB Extra Innings, Center Ice, and Setanta in the 1000 range.

Also, ESPNews HD. (Missed that one Mat).
But Setanta looks like PPV - that is just not right.
I saw that too, but I think it's a mistake - or a bad grouping. Note that MLB EI and NHL CI are also listed under PPV, and I can't imagine they'll be PPV. Looks like a bad grouping to me.

Is Comcast still keeping CSN HD off FIOS in the Philly area?

Considering most of the programming on MSG and MSG+ outside of live sporting events is not HD you have to wonder why they are holding off in getting extra money from FIOS for MSG HD and MSG+ HD.
We've always had CSN Philly, both SD and HD. They're not keeping it off of FiOS.

I hope the Devils have a really great deal with the Dolans, because even though I am a fan, I just can't watch them in SD anymore. I'm not going back to either Comcast or Direct Tv, so Vanderbeek has to put pressure or risk losing fans!

Probably a topic for a different thread though....

That goes for you too Rutgers! Stop making deals with Cablevision / MSG.....

So afiggatt, have you received the notice yet? AFAIK, we haven't received it yet.
No, I have not received a written notice yet (I'm in northern VA). However, a notice was posted to the STB back on May 21 that Fios was going 100% digital in July. Check the Message Center on your STB/DVR. Also, people in MD have reported getting notices, so I figured they missed me in the mailing list.
I'm in Centreville and I didn't get the letter either. I know others in Fairfax County have already gotten the letter. So I called up go digital number anyway and they didn't have a problem sending out those boxes. I ordered last Friday and received them yesterday (Monday) morning.

Yes, my favorites on the STBs, my media center guide, and all the other various online tv guides But it's so worth it

And yeah, it took me a while to spot the location of the Local Plus channels!

Local Plus stations are now at 460. Everyone will have to reconfigure their Favorites and get used to all new channel slots.
