I'm also having problems with this on and off the past few weeks. At this point I wonder if it would be faster to get a new ISP (if one is even available in my area besides OOL that offers high speed) so I can finish the last couple of Sunwell bosses without having to worry about this issue. It's basically ruining raiding for me to know that at any time this could decide to happen.

try playing on another server not on the west coast, try playing on a east coast one, and see if you have the same increased latency issues. there is a link a few posts up on the data center locations.

I went to dentarg, and my ping is sub 30ms which is better than having 300ms+ hitting the west coast.

4 edits		 What you are saying makes no sense. If the server itself were lagging, then everyone on the server would be complaining about it. Maybe Road Runner is having a similar issue, but that doesn't prove that Blizzard didn't buy enough bandwidth. Once again, I'll say I have a Covad DSL line without this issue.
