|  [Help Me] DI-634M router reset itself to factory settings?
I have been using a D-Link DI-634M router for a couple of years, and for the most part it is one of the most stable and reliable routers I have ever used.
However recently it crashed, and reset itself to factory condition. What exactly happened is that I was using wireless (WPA2 with AES) to browse a website, when it suddenly lost wireless connection and would not reconnect.
I turned the router off and then back on to try to fix the connection, but discovered that all my network settings were gone. The non-volatile memory had been wiped clean.
I recovered by reloading my saved settings from a .gws file with all of my settings.
But I have never had a router do this. Anyone else seen this? Anyone know what causes this and why does the router do this? The router is on the latest firmware FYI. |
