& you're right. i have a broadband from cricket & it works perfect. if you have problems with the internet being slow why don't you go back to the store and exchange it for another. sometimes happens that particular broadband might be defective. i knew someone that had that problem & it was fixed just by doing an exchange. ppl gotta think out of the box.
& for the person that said that they didn't say anything about 45 days and then wait another 60 days to get the mail in rebate maybe you should of taken the time to read the mail in rebate form!!! is on there! in total takes 8-12 weeks to get the rebate. obviously you have to pay the first month of service if not the rebate gets cancel! ppl just want everything the easy way. yes sad.. |

| Yes, for about one year, in Wichita Ks. It worked well when I got it, speeds of 80-300 k-BITS (not bytes). But it appears it has become popular, and now it is occassionally still 80-300 kBITS, but more typically, 30-50 kBITS. About the same as dial up. And worse- there are now periods, EVERY WEEK, where it simply doesn't work- AT ALL- the web freezes for 20-30 minutes. It seems almost as if it's can't find bandwidth to get on. The little diagnostic program SAYS it logs on, and sure enough, it transfers maybe 4000-5000 bits, at 300 BITS (NOT KBITS, NOT BYTES, NOT KBYTES/sec, but 300 BITS per second). Then, nothing. For 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes. Happens EVERY WEEKEND now (afternoon and early evenings), and EVERY night (7-9 pm). The good: 1) No Contract (it sucks soooo bad, I wouldn't even think about using it if there were one) 2) Price is x2 dial up, and speed averages...x2 dialup 3) Occasional, several times faster. The bad: 1) Occasional, doesn't work- AT ALL 2) Price is 70% of cable, which KICKS CRICKETS ASS 3) It has HORRIBLE national coverage, I have found while travelling. Summary: Unless you can live with 3rd world reliability, and worse than 3rd worlds speeds- you will think it is tolerable. For about three weeks, then it will drive you crazy. You will be MUCH happier with any other name brand service. |

| reply to formeat And yes, Cricket "froze" on my while posting the previous message- twice. It stinks. Contracts with major telecos stink too, so pick your poison. If you MUST have mobile service, Cricket is a poor option. If you can use a cable land-line, Cricket is an abominable option. |

| reply to formeat They built my new cricket store in the corner of the local laundary matt....And I believe the same person who cleans the dryer lent, also sold me the cricket... Soo many lies...when I asked how the speed compared to cable? she told me it was faster than cable or wireless? shame on me for not searching into this before I bought...I bad mouth this service to everyone I know...If you only want to check your mail, it works fine. to download 1 song, you might aswell hand write the music, and get out the old guitar, and record it yourself...bye,bye cricket |

Just got the a600 wireless modem works okay I guess its not broadband speeds its dial-up over a wireless signal
It says * Throughput may be limited if use exceeds 5GB per month. * Internet browsing does not include, "Machine-to-machine connections, "Peer to peer (P2P) connections." but that's not necessarily true..................
I got a strange configuration so it dosent show Im using any bandwidth and and the p2p works (Machine-to-machine) works fine
down speeds at 65-80kB range |
