Mount Joy, PA | T-mobile Maybe T-mobile should try to buy Alltel and gain share towards the big boys of AT&T and Verizon? I'd hate for Verizon to eat up more of the market then they already have. Same with team Deathstar.

T-Mobile has coverage in most if not all major metros, so their two main issues are a lack of widespread 3G coverage and not using already existing licenses in many mid market areas. That costs them a lot in roaming (especially in NW Arkansas, where they're stuck paying roaming for any customers who sell to Wal-Mart or what have you)

I am sure you also know the #1 global business has its corporate office in Northwest Arkansas. Lets not forget the world's largest chicken and red meat producer also has its corporate office in Northwest Arkansas. Of course I-40 also goes right through the middle of the state.I guess those are some of the reasons over a 1000 new families move into the Northwest Arkansas area a month, and anyone with a lick of business since might want to get a piece of the pie. Maybe, those are some of the reasons why Tmobile is looking to move into the state. | |

To be fair, they've had service in Little Rock and along I-40 east to Memphis for 7 or 8 years now. They've also had a few roamer only sites in northwest Arkansas for a similar period of time. The one in Fayetteville is the funniest. You should look at it on their coverage map. It covers the least populated part of town only. The signal doesn't make it to downtown. (I tried once)

T-Mobile seems to a defered capital investment/upgrades policy. Sprint aims their sectors better reducing dead spots in suburbs, and covers slightly more at the rural edges of its coverage than T-Mobile here in the NYC tri-state area. | |
