Alltel is great.

FWIW, I have Sprint. I often put my phone in "roam only" (Alltel is the roaming partner for Sprint here.) I RARELY have less than 4-5 bars no matter how far out in the boon docks I am.
I work at a government facility in the middle of nowhere. Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mo all have marginal coverage out there, at best. On Alltel, I get full signal strength.

I think this would be a good buy for VZ.
