| Solar panel install update
People have been asking my for a update on this thread. »Solar system being installed.
How its working, how much power are you making, how much money are you saving etc..
It is working just fine. Looking back now I wish I would have gotten a 6.0 system instead of a 5.2 so I could make more power.
As far as how much power is being made. Well right now on the inverter its showing 3300KW. From 9-12 it ranges from 2200-3800. From 12-4 it tops out at 4100-4200 and slowly goes down from there. At around 4 it will still be making 2500-3500. All of these are more than enough to power the house and feed back power to the grid.
As far as how much money have I made off of it. It is paying for itself. I sold stock for half of the install and took out a Home equity loan for the rest and the money I am saving off of my electric bill is making the payment. I hope that answers the questions everyone has been having. If there are more go ahead and ask.

3300KW would be enough power to run over 100 homes???? |

| reply to skokie What I would like to know is on an average day what is the total output of the system, and what is your total consumption. For example you generate X kWh during the course of a day (24 hours), and your house consumes Y kWh during the course of a day (24 hours). -- My Business website: MerrittConstruction.com | My Gaming Website: KensGaming.com |

You get a statement every month showing what you used and made and a bill every 12 months showing you have credits = $0 bill or you used more then you made and you owe $. The best you can do is have a $0 bill. Pretty fair IMO. -- "Motivation is simple. You eliminate those who are not motivated." |

1 edit | Oh I wont. And I know they are. I would have to go back and look at the docs but I believe that residents can go up to 10 Kwatt and get money back. Anything after that they wont pay you for it. But I would have to check into that. Its buried in a mound of paperwork. |

| reply to skokie Thank you, skokie for all your documentation on your install and updates. I've been reading all of it and have concluded that I do want this, as well. Up here, where my house sits, I get sunlight ALL day long (from dawn to dusk) the way my roof faces. I just bought my house last year, so I do know I have a ways to go before I can even attempt to get something like this. Again, thank you very much for all the info you've provided. -- Yo te digo, el mundo esta jodido |
