I have the exact same experience and have been around many times between the ATT and Starbucks support, no one can figure it out, or they just have not devoted any time to figuring it out, after more than a week still no luck. The only place I have been able to login using the TX is from Barnes&Nobles. Whatever the issue, it appears to be between ATTWiFi and T-Mobile.
BTW I"ve been looking at this thread and it's curious to me that you ask a legit question in a tech forum and get back all this rant about coffee. What's up with that? |

| reply to anon123 Here is an update. I can log on to the AT&T site from home using the user ID and password I piked when setting up the free AT&T account so I know the user ID and password are correct. The next time I go to Starbucks I will asked for the manager to see if they have a clue to what's going on. I will also take my laptop with me to see if it works. The previous time I used my PocketPC. It has worked just fine at other free WIFI spots in the past though. |

| reply to Other James I have called Starbucks and AT&T and get the phone mery go round from AT&T. Nobody I have talked to can help with the logon problem. I was connected to the AT&T wireless router at the Starbucks store. Since I never received a confirmation email I will get ANOTHER Starbucks card and create a new Starbucks account to see if the FUBAR goes away. |

| reply to jesschoen James,
You have to make sure that your TX's wireless card is connected to the "attwifi" wireless network before you access the logon page. It looks like you were inadvertently connected to the "tmobile" wireless network when you tried logging in. There should be a way to access your TX's wireless-network settings, but I'm not familiar with the TX. Sometimes the logon credentials can be stored in your wireless settings. RTM. |

| reply to NY Tel I use a Palm TX and have been unable to access the AT&T "free" service at more than one local Starbucks in N. VA. I have registered with AT&T and they have sent me an e-mail confirming that I should be good to go at Starbucks.
However, in Starbucks, I input my user name and password, select AT&T wi-fi, accept the terms of service and hit continue (or whatever the icon is called). I then am taken to a t-mobile page with a message that either my username or password is incorrect (which they are not). Has anyone been able to get a TX to access AT&T at Starbucks?
Thanks.
