There's always been an issue with colour-coded wiring - we used to use red and black; but the arguments would go something along the lines of :

"Red is power, no red is positive; black is return, no black is negative"

We now use one colour (black or grey) and there's no more argument.

Im interested as to why all of the power cables are grey. Here in Aus we use red, blue and green (+, -, earth).

Seems as though some sort of colour coding would make it instantly perceivable as to what each cable does, rahter than having to trace it or look for tags or something.

Nortel is still selling DMS's? I would have though that most LECs would have succumb to redistributing their current stock of equipment because of the hemorrhage of all the landlines out there.

As funny as it sounds, I'm surprised the DMS's are still brown. I would have expected that Nortel would have upgraded the look (well the colour at least) as they have with all their other products.

Edit: I guess the big question is do those devices have any Nortel branding on them whatsoever? There is on the VoIP rack, however the DMS seems pretty blank.
