Stark County Ohiio- How To Start Campaign Contribution Calls

My BIL is running for Stark County Sheriff and I of course want to help as much as I can. Would love to try to help him get some contributions made to the campaign, but unsure of how to properly make phone calls and in person requests to do so. Can anyone make some suggestions or if you have done contribution calls before, let me know your methods?

Thank you so much for any advice

As one who receives unsolicited political campaign calls, I can say that I am extremely irritated by them, and never give out any information to unsolicited calls in general. If you plan on pre-recorded messages, I'd say don't. I hate politicians who do that. Of the half-dozen candidates who pestered me with tele-campaigning calls, I voted for none.

My advice is to only call those folks you know would want to receive such calls, or spread the word in other ways. Try setting up a web site and advertising it in local papers, radio or TV.

I would find personal solicitation of campaign funds by an existing or potential law enforcement officer to be unsettling at the least. Many would feel threatened and most would be irritated.
