Virginia Beach, VA | Can't send email over Cavtel network no matter SMTP server I've had Cavtel C2 in Virginia Beach, VA since April and even though it took a complaint to the State Corp. Comm. to get them to live up to their commitment we got our service working with speeds of almost 7Mbps down and 800-900k up. That Google App thing is a sham - how they see that as something to brag about is beyond me b/c anybody can use those apps for free, including Gmail with pop/imap...whatever.
The subject says it all - I've been having this problem since yesterday off and on for intervals of at least 1/2 hr, of course when you try to contact tech support you get put on perpetual ignore (I mean hold). I've been using smtp.gmail.com as well as two other smtp servers from two hosting services I use, and when this problem happens, I can't send from any of them, using any email address, though web browsing and receiving mail works.
Anyone else experience this problem? Anyone have any ideas? |

Salisbury, MD | can you change your smtp port on your hosting service? Maybe port 25 is being blocked? |
