| [Line Problem] My internet connection suddenly died
I was surfing the web about two hours ago, had dinner, came back, and my internet died.
I tried rebooting my router. Didn't work. Next tried to reboot the modem. Didn't work either.
So I connect directly to the modem (Speedstream 4100) and the Diagnostics show this:
53 Test ATM OAM Segment Ping fail 54 Test ATM OAM End to End Ping fail
What does this mean? Do I need to call customer service or something or did my modem just die? Thanks so much. |

| Your ATM circuit is dead.
It might be a failure at your DSLAM/RT port or at your aggregation router. ... or ASI or ATTIS may have taken down your circuit for some unscheduled maintenance reason.
I've had this happen and been down for two-hour, four-hour, and two-day long intervals. |
