| reply to jmorlan That's a great mix that makes a lot of sense. I've never worked with Paul but he has a solid reputation as a highly skilled & passionate analyst. It will undoubtedly be a loss to CastleCops but in the bigger picture it was a good move for the online community. This relationship will bring grief into the lives of the criminals who, until very recently, operated with virtual impunity. Consider the gauntlet thrown & the gloves off. |

Even after he set up what we now know as CastleCops, he'd still donate time here in crunch situations. And, for quite a few years, there was some quiet collaboration in the background when one or another of these websites would get hit with a massive DDoS attack.
And he was involved in a lot of 'below the horizon' work that a lot of people here may be unaware of. Ah, the stories some of us could tell . . . but probably shouldn't. -- Regards, Joseph V. Morris |

Isn't it nice that for us that know and remember when the wascally wabbit hopped about here and then found another hutch to play in is going places. Microsoft is lucky to get him. Whomever takes over the control of Castlecops will have big shoes to fill. I couldn't feel that anyone is better suited to chase the bad guys and will be immensely helpful to MS. Way to go, Paul!!! |
