nwrickert : It is possible that the data you sent used SSL, even though the page itself did not use SSL. With firefox as browser you can check this by right clicking on the page and selecting "page info". Then look at the forms. The url associated with submitting the form data should be using "https:" if the data is to be sent encrypted.

Or set your browser to ask you before data is sent insecurely. It can get annoying (you have to click a button on lots of sites), but you will have a better idea on whether data is being sent encrypted.
--
AT&T dsl; Westell 327w modem/router; SuSE 10.1; firefox 2.0.0.14

When I went to the order page I got the message that I was going to a secure connection and there was a rapidSSL logo on the page. I ordered. After doing so I realized it did not have the https address. Does this sound right?

Should I be concerned about using my card as I did? I do know it is a legit business or I would not have ordered.
