Re: Telco overbuilding.... Keller TX (Dallas) was the initial FiOS site -- and was divided with AT&T across it's southern half.
Deregulation passed in 2005 -- allowing anyone to build-out anywhere (no more exclusive areas). It worked. Too bad I sold my house in the AT&T half of Keller. Now I could get FiOS.
Even Charter Cable rolled-out it's 16mbs tier in Keller -- due to FiOS. Deregulation works.
