It's the "feel good" effect....out of sight, out of mind. As far as they (NY AG office, ISP's) are concerned, the problem will no longer exist and they will get the monkey(s) off their back.

In the meantime, it will still be business as usual in the child porn industry because it's not an "internet" or "usenet" problem to begin with.
