And it also doesn't change the fact that at any given time, DMCA takedown notices issued for alleged copyright infringement are bogus. So put that in your piracy catch-all bong and smoke it.

Being a "crime" has little to do with something being "acceptable" or not; it's about a small group of individuals getting together and wanting to exert control over others... for the sake of the common good, of course... certainly not for some lobbyist with the most money, certainly not because they have such higher moral values (what's the ratio of legislators in jail versus non-legislators?).
