[Serious] The Irish save the UK

»news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7453560.stm

Thanks to the Gods (Christian - Muslim - Buddha - whatever) just praise the lord!!!

Just shows, the ONLY Country allowed to vote and they vote NO!

The rest of Europes leaders are frightened to let their people vote because they know that no one want's it!

In a short nutshell what is the Lisbon treaty?

On another topic, is the EU moving towards a more central government? From a uninformed US citizen it looks like that. Individual countries losing their 'vote'.

There certainly are many benefits to the EU with all the little countries becoming part of a bigger cog in the machinery of Europe.

In theory, YES. In practical application, NO.

The people in charge (like our government) are complete morons.

The area is far to large to explain here, but basically it's just another large stealth tax + opportunity for the rest of Europe to leech of our FREE health and welfare system. People are hoarding to the UK in their millions just to rip us off. The rest of Europe (who have never liked Britain anyway) think this is a great laugh e.g watching a once great nation that ruled 2/3rds of the globe over-run with money grabbing immigrants.

and don't get me started with al te humans rights crap....

The UK and most of Europe simply do not want a unified Europe and ANY Country that has been allowed to vote has voted NO. Yet they are still trying to force it through. It's just a rich boys back scratching club designed to make them richer.

Heres an example of the EU in action and good pointer to why no one wants in.
