Re: Approved Modem List

Follow-up to my original list:
I have used:
Westell 210015-04, 220015-04, 610015-06, 327 15-0?

The C90-610015-06 and E90-610015-06 are the newer models. HOWEVER starting about E90-610015-06 REV J they put on the Verizon logo and I can't get it to work. The user interface has also switched from Westell to Verizon.

A newer model with the Verizon logo, F90-610015-06 Rev J also has the Verizon interface but I was able to use it successfully just like the pre-Verizon branded Westell's.

Paradyne Model #6381-A3-200 works if you turn off the computer (WIN XP), install the modem, then boot up. If I just plug it in like I do the Westell's (computer on) it will not work.

TRENDNet TEW-435BRM

I'm using a TRENDNet TEW-435BRM, firmware version 1.00.12. Rolando from DSLX tech support helped me with the settings when I had to set it up after my service went live on 09/01/2009 and it's working smoothly.

Re: Approved Modem List

Dlink dsl-2320b modem will restrain the maximum speed of your dsl. Use SpeedStream modem is a best solution for your speed.

Re: Approved Modem List

The first generation of Zoom modems do not work in some areas. They'll thrash between protocols, get very hot, then crash. The later Zoom ADSL 2/2+ work very well.

Yes, they're terrible to configure. The configuration pages are full of bugs, incorrect help, broken links, and there's no sanity checking. Accidentally entering a conflicting option may disable the modem until the modem is reset to factory defaults.
