Re: Great... Due to high traffic levels, some people were unable to get a reliable cell signal. I'm not sure how the POTS network held up. But the bottom line is, when other forms of comm infrastructure were down, I think folks were probably VERY thankful to at least have internet access. That way they could, y'know, do things like e-mail family to let them know they're OK... |

 | reply to tlniec I'm imagining POTS held up quite well till the remote terminals and central offices got flooded. Generally wet cable can be respliced fairly easy but a wet CO is a real tough cookie. |
