| [EvDO] To EV-DO or not to EV-DO
I currently have a fixed wireless. Everything has been mostly good up until the last 4 months. As of the last 4 months, we are consistently getting massive amount of dropped packets. So much so, that the connection is pretty much useless. The last time a tech was out, he said we had good DB, but we had a 12 jitter. I am considering switching to Sprint, but I am concerned about the latency on EV-DO. According to their map, we are in the service area for best signal. There is a link to the towers at »www.antennasearch.com/sitestart.···ehandler
Personally, I think that WISP the tower is oversubscribed or that it just shit, as it's been taken out by lightning multiple times. They say that it's the trees, but we have had a decent connection in the past. I have attached a terrain map and a satellite map with locations marked.
Any thoughts? -- bolt

| I know with my cell(Blackjack) I only get an Edge signal despite the tower about 1.5 miles up the road. I would prefer ATT, but being closer to a Sprint tower might provide a better signal.
I just got a message that our WISP is moving the antenna, so we'll wait and see what happens. -- bolt
