| You know I was wondering the same thing. I was an amp'd customer (NOT one of the deadbeats...I paid my bill) for about a year until they announced the bankrupcy. From all the talk I decided to jump ship, and went with sprint SERO.
I paid my last bill before closing the account and the rep told me I had a 0 balance. Then after they closed their doors, I was contacted by a collections agency for...you guessed it, the exact amount of the last payment I made to amp'd. They basically stole that last $50 from me. I did not pay it, but instead requested verification of the amount owed, and I never heard from them again.
An eagle eye on my credit report over the last year has turned up nothing, it was just like everybody having anything to do with amp'd vanished. Adderton should be ashamed of himself. You'd think he was running the company in 1999 given his posh lifestyle.
That doesnt get you any closer to finding out what happened to amp'd and prexar, but it got me reminiscing... |
