I don't get it

The articles I've read that quote the AG's office say that most of the source material comes out of Eastern Europe. These actions are going to do nothing to stop those children from being exploited and abused. So why was Cuomo's office so gung ho about this?

Is he running for reelection this fall or for higher office?
