I am an rcn user and i have 10gb of webhosting ftp space with rcn. i recently purchased a domain with godaddy.com and have a site template etc already hosted on the RCN ftp. I need to find the name servers from rcn for my ftp account, so i can connect my godaddy domain name to my rcn ftp. i have been calling rcn for days now and no one in support has a clue what i am talking about... anyone have experience with this? |

| reply to misha Somewhere in your godaddy profile for the domain, there maybe a redirection option.
Without rcn actually configuring their nameservers for your domain, just entering the rcn nameserver into your domain profile won't do you much good..
With 1and1, it's called domain forwarding. www.abc.com gets forwarded to www.xyz.com . However, as soon as it's redirected, the url will change to your rcn webspace address.. -- Insanity is living in a state of disillusion. |

1 edit | reply to misha you can also write an html command on your site that redirects it from your www address to the rcn address holding your web site.
Here is a web site that explains the process

If you purhcased 10gb of space, I'm sure we can do something to help you out. PM me with your domain name and what your trying to accomplish and I'll see what can be done, I'm thinking with 10GB of data you are in some sort of virtual hosting plan already. -- Jason Nealis, Sr. Director, Video Product and Network Operations |
