Re: Verizon already in area; don't see Verizon moving in ... VZ is also in the LA area around Long Beach and a couple smaller areas. I could see them cherry picking some of the higher end suburbs or apt complexes around there. I dont think it would be much of a reach for them. |

Verizon offers what people are asking for (not all, but in general what people want). AT&T offers a TV service, but has many restrictions and not a clean build.
FiOS = Fiber , it works or it doesn't. Replace the line if the line is bad. VDSL = POTS on VDSL -- Canada = Hollywood North |

| A glimmer of hope for Silicon Gulch?
VZ (formerly GTE) is the LEC for Los Gatos and Morgan Hill, both 'bedroom' communities for the San Jose/Silicon Valley area. I'm located in the Almaden Valley area of San Jose, just a couple of miles from Los Gatos. I'm currently on an AT&T RT for sonic.net DSL, but would love to see VZ come 'over the line' in my direction. I see U-Verse terminals going in all over the San Jose area, but none in my area yet.
I can hope, can't I? |
