Google == Corporation.
Government != Corporation.

You can choose not to participate in business related ventures with Google. You don't have that choice with the FBI/NSA/DHS. They have access to information Google doesn't. If keeping the FBI from abusing my personal information were as simple as the decision NOT to install a browser toolbar that would be pretty cool.

Cause now the US and Sweden are the only 2 countrys in world doing this? Google has some nerve after agreeing to filter searches from such countries as China.
Yes, Google is a hypocrite. They whine and yell about privacy while collecting info about everybody and in countries that demand they give up info(like China) they bend right over. But let the US or Sweeden have laws that ask the same thing they cry like babies.

So they'll freely give the info asked for from the Swedish Gov't? What makes them think they can call the kettle black?

Google did nothing but abide by the laws of the land they want to do business in. It would be no different if you wanted to open a store in your city and had to seek their approval (permit) to do so.
