Kailua Kona, HI | Just Got 11Mbps Service I'm curious if there is any other HawTel DSL subscribers out there with 11Mbps service. If you have it, what is your Windows RWIN set at ? I have it set a 130,088. But I'm not getting the expected speeds. |

I just had 11Mbps installed and activated today, so I have been speed testing diligently to determine if I'm getting what I paid for. Supposedly I have "fiber-to-the-home" DSL in this new house.
HawaiianTel.com speedtest is coming in at 11.4M/1.43M, but fastes on mainland has been about 6.5M/1.25M to LinkLine in Los Angeles. I have not attempted any tweaking of RWin or other settings whatsoever. |

1 edit | Strange that »miranda.ctd.anl.gov:7123/ doesn't work for you. It works here ? The same goes for »guriguri.lava.net/speedtest/ I tried the Linkline site, I could only get 5306/989 from it.
I suppose you're a bit closer to the central office. Especially since you are getting a bit higher download speeds
and upload speeds.I'm about 3700 wireline feet from the CO. |

| Finally got all the tests to run, so here are my results. It looks like your higher RWIN may be helping you with the distant sites, whereas my speeds to the Honolulu sites are just about maxed out. |

1 edit | I concur that my higher RWIN has probably is helping me achieve the higher results to the mainland.
As for the local sites, I would figure since I live on the Big Island would explain the lower speed results to these
sites.
But whats puzzling is the fact I can't get anything decent off of Linkline (I only get 5336/989). |
