After posting my Q, I went to the Frontier forum and read the story of why you left Frontier. I had the same problems with the addition of not being able to get anything higher in terms of download speeds than 6meg. I would check the stat page on the modem everyday and see my SNR go to complete hell. The modem would reboot at least 5 times daily. The topper was when I emailed the Network engineer and he told me no work in this area until '09. That was the determining factor. The service techs are really good, support was good, the service was the sheit! All in all, I feel bad for you. At least you got a sniff of the supposed 10meg tier. -- The weekend is here, grab a can of beer! |

| Ah...don't feel bad for me. The average customer would not have noticed a thing here wrong with the service. I feel good about the fact that Frontier treated me very well and I get the impression that they are aware of their limitations. They let me out of my contract...no harm, no foul. I am back with RR now and I can only wish that they turn the upload up a bit from the present 384 speed. |

| That is kinda slow for some of us I may try Turbo later, it has 1 mbps upload. It really only matters to send larger files. At my work, there is a 5 meg upload and download, can't say it's better than my RR. |
