My before pics

Getting prepared for a total office makeover. Unlimited budget. I am tired of disorganized wires and stuff everywhere.

Started upfront work earlier in the year.

Moved server, modem, router, etc to closet to get stuff out of room.

Bought scanner to eliminate paper, so I can discard 8 drawers of files.

I have been scanning everywhere for some clean looking home offices. I found some ideas here and elsewhere.

I hope to be able to come back in a few months and post a really clean, impressive, functional workspace.

It would be nice if you would post your office now and then a few photos along the way, then the finished product when your ready. I'm sure everyone would like to see the evolution of your office.

This is the effect I hope to have with my flat screens
The beginning of my design:

I want the apple flat screens mounted on the wall (I think I saw this photo on this site - no wires, cool looking & clean).

I want the desk mounted in the closet, so when things get out of hand with computer gear & such, I can just close the closet doors. I also got this idea here in this forum.

I am purchasing this desk for $600(+/-). I need to run my cat5 & install 120 in the closet.

So step 1: run wiring, while desk and monitor wall mounts are in delivery route. Paint closet and move workstation to finished location after desk is installed.

Step 2. Start demolition of large blue desk and drag to the street.

Step 3. Start getting bids on new wood flooring.

Step 4. Find out how much stuff is left. Figure out how to store it while selecting nice cool looking furniture.

I like the idea of sticking it all the closet. That desk looks pretty nice too. Keep us updated.

I really like where this could go, leaves you a lot more space in the room for other things.

That's a neat idea.

Run conduit through the wall in case you ever need to replace the cables to the monitors.
