I m also in Astoria and having slow connection downloads around 24Kbs and uploads seems ok around 140kbps. been bad since friday night |

@verizon.net | yes i did contact them and i also told them that there are 20% packlet loss on thier router IP 130.81.44.2 . today they called me and saying that are still working to resolve the problem had same thing last year aswell |

| just to let you just spent 3 hours on the phone with them . and eventually after all that and 4 people i finally get a guy who checks the line and the speed is what it is supposed to be but there is a lot of TRAFFIC on the line which was unusual. so he has opened a ticket and i am supposed to see some one 2moro. why does it take so many people to get that answer, they all check the line . ps it was an American in california who noticed the problem. i think that tells us something., of course he could have lying as to his location. will let you know about the results. also just started line monitroring for verizon with dslreports . maybe others should it so we can get a better picture of what is going on with verizon and the slow speeds. also did a speed check while on line with the guy and got a dl speed of 00037 and up load of 00722, he was impressed.lol |

It seeems is working fine to night at 12:06 am I m getting speed reading of Speed Result 723 Kbps downloads and uploads of 138Kbps ( I m paying for the low speed of 768kbps) so it looks great. Also verizon called me 3 times to day informing me that someone is stopping by to check the box wiring .

same thing happened to me with speed it came back late at night . why cant they say there is a problem or that we are doing work on the line and i would wait instead of getting angry with annoying people at these call centers . there are supposed to send some one out today , but with the speeds back how can they ever see where the problem is , and there is a problem |
