Verizon

Power companies are paying this tax already, why should Verizon be exempt statewide when we all know they are expanding (fios) when and where they want to (profitability). Which is there right. But they want to have it both ways.

Power companies should not have to pay this either. Maybe they should just rip out all of the poles to avoid this tax.

I agree. Time to rip out the poles. The Amish have it right.

Wireless - sounds like a good idea. However this state will simply tax the airwaves.

Uhm, if the poles are ripped out, where are you going to get your power for wireless?

Solar, wind, whatever. But then they'll tax the air, the wind, the light above me.

I wonder if the local power company here (municipally-owned) has to pay property taxes on the poles to the town? I wouldn't be surprised, considering this state...

And if you don't pay...? Nice, I'd like to see 'em enforce the 'light' part of the tax.
