Sprint performance...terrible.

[img][/img]

The last week i have had nothing but problems with my sprint connection. Mainly, it just doesnt work well. However, recently, i get LOADS of errors about remote computers and such not connecting and when it DOES connect, it will not pull a website or ping anything. I have been transferred to tier 3 tech support and i have no clue what they are going to do to solve it. Its been like this for a week or so.

Any ideas? Is this a card, network or other issue??

·Sprint Mobile Broa..

I have never had an issue such as this. I have had some speed issues but it has been rare and short lived and still 5x better than satellite's 'Pro' plan. I would install the software on a different computer and try it on that unit to check if it is a hardware issue or possibly software. I do know that I had to do some tweaking with Trend Micro my internet security program to get good speeds with no hiccups.
How did the connection work week before last week?
What were your speeds before this started?
Does it work fine by itself without sharing turned on or out of the router or does you plug it into a stand alone router?

With the information you have provided it could be the card, the network or another issue. With a little more information about your setup and configuration I am sure someone will jump in to help!

I started in SAFE MODE, and ran virus and spyware checking. i also uninstalled all of my network adapters. When i restart, hopefully all will be ok. I have unshared my connection, and i have completely turned off all my routers.

The speed you see above IS on my other computer. When i got this thing in february, my speeds were 1200 down and 700 down when it was 'slow'. Now its 400 on a good day and 0 down when its slow. I have 'full bars', evdo only and no-roaming allowed.

Actually, my wife says it quit working on the laptop as well.

WTF? How can this connection be THAT unreliable.

well whats your connection?

How many bars need more info what modem do you have and so on.

If you only have 1 or 2 bars thats teh speeds you will get.

I had slow speeds untill i picked up an outside antenna.

Signal level? Judging by the terrible upload, it looks like you have an extremely weak signal.

The OP has ruled out a signal issue as he already said that he has "full bars".

I think I'd put the card in the laptop and go to another Sprint tower to see if things look any better. If you get lousy speeds while setting by either tower then that would seem to narrow it down to a card issue. I guess you could have a hosed up desktop and laptop but I doubt they'd both go on the blink at the same time.

I have a signal booster, and i am getting full bars. thats teh only thing i can figure thats causing this issue....

If i go outside and pick up the natural signal, it seems to do slightly better and more consistent.

Re: Sprint performance...terrible.

The signal booster will not only increase signal but RF noise as well. That can detrimental.

OK, so for whatever reason, outside, when i recieve NATURAL signal, the air card works very well, and reliably. When i come inside, and rely on the signal booster to grab signal, the signal is VERY strong, but i cannot load any web pages when connected....i dont get it. Any ideas?

What kind of signal (if any) do you have inside without the amp?

Why dont you take that signal booster off and see if that is your problem.
