New Universal Sports Channel

f38urry join:2002-01-10 Spring Valley, NY	New Universal Sports Channel With the Olympics trials in full swing, I see that (in the New York metropolitan area) there is new related programming being broadcast on (non-HD) channel 864. It is named Universal Sports. Channel 864 here is NBC channel 4.4, an offshoot of local NBC channel 4 that usually shows local weather. Universal Sports is part of NBC Universal.

matcarl Premium join:2007-03-09 Franklin Square, NY	Yes, that is a network that NBC bought and changed the name to Universal Sports Network. They will not be carrying any live Olympics on the channel. I read they were going to seek carriage agreements for it, but I wonder if they just decided to change WNBC 4.4's programming and carry it there? Thanks for the info.
