sgtoutlaw : Okay, I was at a 1mb cable plan uploading at 256kb, the speeds were just as advertised, getting 130kbytes or so like I should.

Now I upgraded to a 4mb plan, and right after the upgrade, all of a sudden I am around the 30kbyte/s range. And yet.. my upload is the full 1mb up.

There are a few things I can say, one, is that I called them, and I know the line is good. There was a tech guy from my cable company who came and looked at my computer, it was pretty full so he put it off as that being the problem. (I of course didn't totally believe that) But the thing was, is he removed the ethernet wire, still attached to the modem, and plugged it into his laptop, and he was getting the full 4mb.

The obvious conclusion is that it is something wrong on my end. And with the computer since he used the same modem.

Now, my hard drive is 50% empty space and I am still having the same problem.

Ask me for what you need, I seem to remember a post that told you what all to put up, but I don't know where it is.

Oh, and I can't get tweak tester to work.
