1 edit | [northeast] Fios TV around Harrisburg PA
I currently have Fios internet, so I called up Verizon to upgrade form 15/15 to 20/20, and the rep I spoke with asked if I was interested in TV when it becomes available. She did a TV presale for me and offered tons of free stuff if I did a presale. (No Money upfront until installed) She said her system says TV will be available in the Harrisburg PA Area on or around November 5th 2008
Just wanted to give an update to anyone in South Central PA who has been anxiously awaiting Fios TV so we can ditch Comcast. |

| Just spoke a to a rep myself. He took my info and said he'd give me a call as soon as it was available...which according to him would be July/August timeframe for me. Since I already have FiOS Internet the only hold up is completion of their Harrisburg TV Hub. |

If the OP is really in Harrisburg itself, that may explain the difference in times that have been quoted here and in other Posts.
Harrisburg was last up after all the other 29 surrounding communities were said to be 'finished'. Perhaps the rest of us are still on schedule for late July / August ?

NJ and I've not been impressed with it at all. Roughly the same price as I pay DirecTV and we have more functionality and much more HD. If you want to ditch CC, definitely look at DTV/Dish. |

| Being a former DTV customer I must say their product/service is worse than CC...and their contracted installers have little respect for your property.
I'm not a big fan of CC either...while they have a much better product/service, everyone seems to pay a different rate for the same product/service...and in order to get & keep a reasonable price you have to call every time your promo period ends and hope you get the right person that will put you onto another promo which may cost slightly more but not near as much as the regular rate...though I do like how CC does not require you to sign a service contract so there are no early termination fees... |
