Help with my connection.

Hi my internet has been going in and out every 10mins or so for the last couple of the days, I just wanted to know if it was my modem or if it was something on Qwest's side, any help is appreciated. I have the 7 plan.

This along with the errors points to a problem... but where the problem lies is impossible to tell- could be dozens of things causing it. Start by connecting your modem directly into your NID (where the phone line comes into the house) with a new, short as possible cord and see if you get the same stats. If still bad, it's most likely on Qwest's end. If they improve significantly, it's on your end.

Definitely some conflicting numbers that point to an equipment (Modem) or wiring issue. E.g. SNR is 0, yet the attenuation is only in the 30's. With the upload looking good on SNR; attenuation good in both directions; and the errors; definitely do what Dyno said and connect it to the NI directly with NOTHING else connected. My 1st; UNEDUCATED guess, would be something plugged in without a filter. E.g. alarm system, satellite receiver, dialup modem, phone, fax, "I've fallen down and I can't get up"; or something else that you don't remember. Later... mike....
