[360] Wireless Network Adapter not working

Hi! I'm experiencing problems with my Microsoft Wireless Network Adapter. For some reason, it doesn't seem to connect. I've moved it within 20 feet and half a wall to the wireless router (A WRT54GL running the latest firmware) as well as tried turning off all the phones, and it still doesn't work. Specifically, the light on the back of the Wireless Adapter stays solid red. Additionally, the "Edit Settings" tab under the System dashboard is grayed out in the third area ("Network Name", "Wireless Mode", etc.).

I've tried moving the system, a couple different firmwares, removing the security, removing MAC filtering, trying different 360 USB ports, trying Windows Connect and restoring default settings to no avail. Do I have a bad adapter? Thanks.

I have the same adapter and it works pretty well, I would see if any of your friends have one and try it out on your box to see what happens, or bring the adapter to one of your friends house and try it on their 360 to see what happens.

I had similar issues but I forgot to update the wireless security in the 360 to match my router...

An outside shot- Maybe there's some helpful hints in the Verizon FiOS forum thread, even though it's a different router: »XBOX 360 and FiOs(Actiontec M1424WR)

Thanks for the information guys! It turns out I had a bad wireless adapter. I went to Best Buy got a new one, and it works perfectly. When I get home from work, I'll post the SKU in case it helps anyone looking for a similar one that will work for them.
