Stony Brook, NY | [OOL] Worse Than Dial-Up Tonight? On all my machines pages either take forever to load or not at all. Rebooted router and modem. No help. Called OOL, on hold too long and hung up. Can't load OOL Speed page. My network adaptor says I have limited connectivity at 100Mbps.
Anyone else seeing this tonight?

Back to normal this morning. As of about 10pm last night it was still out. When was it finally fixed? Maybe there should be an adjustment to my bill this month? Yeah, right.

That is most likely (99.99% of cases) because your computer could not assign an IP address to your connection (basically meaning your not connected to the internet).
What you should do is type in 192.160.100.1 in your browser and post in your signal stats.Look for "signal to noise ratio" , it shouldnt be lower than 30db (usually its in the 35-40db range). |
